Make sure you are using the right type and amount of detergent, as the wrong type or amount can cause suds, which can block your machine from draining. Check for clogs or any blockages. Check if the sump area of the rear tub is blocked. Check the drain hose also for blockages. Make sure the drain of your kitchen sink is not clogged. In case you have a disposer installed, run it before turning your dishwasher on to clean the drain system.
Your dishwasher needs attention. Check the Owner’s Manual for more information on blinking lights and sounds. A beeping sound every 30 seconds indicated that the door of the dishwasher was unlatched during the cycle, to resume the cycle close the door. If the “Start/Reset” light is blinking, it indicates that the dishwasher has been reset. In case other lights are blinking, it might be due to an error. Try resetting your dishwasher by pressing the “Start/Reset” button and wait 2 minutes. If the problem persists, try disconnect and reconnect your device (wait at least 2 minutes in between).
Make sure that the child lock-out is turned “OFF”, as this could prevent your dishwasher from running. If the dishwasher is making a noise but won’t run, add some hot tap water to the dishwasher and run it for 5 minutes. If the problem persists, multiple components might be affected and need possible replacement.
Check the water pressure to your dishwasher, which should be around 20 – 120 PSI. Check your water temperature, as your hot water should be around 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Adjust the water heater if needed.
Make sure that the water supply is turned on to the dishwasher and your water line valve is fully opened. If you are sure that the problem is not water supply connected, check the flood float as it might have become stuck. Tap the piece you find under the flood float gently. Put the filter back in place. If the problem persists, multiple components might need to be replaced.
In case the door of your machine won’t open, multiple parts might be affected and needed to be replaced. Seek professional assistance for repair or component replacement.
